My background is within the traditional media design world, originating with learning to draw and paint with my mother at a young age. I attended Washington State University and received a Bachelors of Fine Art, with studies consisting of art history, graphic design, sketching, watercolor, metal and stone sculpture.

I began my professional career in 1990 crafting custom t-shirt designs for a local screenprinter. It was at this time that the computer aided design world was in its infancy. Moving on to a position as Senior Designer at a Design agency, I struggled through Aldus Freehand, Type-Styler, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Macromedia Freehand, which became what we all now know as Adobe Illustrator.

Since the very beginning hand-drawn brand marks have been my specialty, using my freehand drawing abilities, paired with digital tools to create completely new and unique marks and designs for various organizations for more than 30 years.

As the president of VisualStudio.tv, Inc. beginning in 2007, I have led domestic and multi-national creative teams in B2B and B2C SAAS product development, dynamic web experiences, with forays into video production and business & marketing consulting.

I am happily married and the father of 4 incredible children and one grandchild! With all 4 currently in college! I reside in the gorgeous Pacific Northwest, and enjoy hiking with my wife, photography, skiing, and hunting & fishing.
